What types of Mud Masks are in this bundle?

Our 3-Pack special comes with different bases, each with their own benefits. We have a hydrating Shea Butter blend, a refreshing Tea Tree Oil and Aloe Vera blend, and a warming Turmeric blend.

Shea Butter Mud Mask

Shea butter is the fat extracted from the Shea tree. It’s hydrating and moisturizing properties make it appealing to use in cosmetics. It also contains various fatty acids improves the skin’s natural barrier and protects the skin from environmental damage. The hydrating effects also act as an anti-inflammatory, which will reduce swelling and promote healing for your skin. As part of our Shea Butter Mud Mask, it leaves the skin feeling soft and healthy.

Tea Tree Oil & Aloe Vera Gel Mud Mask

Tea Tree Oil, also known as Melaleuca Oil, is derived from the genus of trees called Melaleuca. It is typically used as an essential oil with a minty and refreshing aroma. This aroma is also applicable when used topically, as the menthol-like cooling sensation can help with inflammation. It is also good for a lot of skin types, as it reduces pore size in oily skin and redness in dry skin and acne prone skin, but it isn’t the best for those with sensitive skin.

Aloe Vera Gel is produced through the harvesting of Aloe Vera succulent leaves and blending the aloe vera until it turns into a gel-like consistency. It is commonly used for the treatment of superficial burns, such as sunburns and other minor burns on the skin, as well as for small cuts and bruises. This gel is also known to help stimulate the production of collagen, the component in skin that helps strengthen it and improve skin elasticity. Lastly, the nutrients and vitamins found in aloe vera nourish the skin without causing irritation, making it a good choice for sensitive skin.

The versatility of Tea Tree Oil and the healing effects of Aloe Vera Gel make this mud mask a prime choice.

Turmeric Mud Mask

Turmeric is flowering plant whose root end is widely used for food consumption, dietary supplements, and natural dyes. One active ingredient in turmeric, ‘Curcumin’, has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. However, turmeric powder and its beneficial effects need a carrier for effective application. When mixed with our mud mask base, turmeric is more readily absorbed by the skin and will synergize for additional effects. Curcumin’s anti-inflammatory effects paired with the mud mask’s antibacterial nature help treat acne prone skin and acne scarring.

How do you apply a Mud Mask?

Step 1: Clean and rinse your face as you normally would and apply any facial oils or moisturizers to your face to help further hydrate your skin.

Step 2: Take a small amount of the mud mask, about the size of a dime, and begin to apply the mud around your face.

Step 3: Continue to apply the mud until your face is covered, taking care not to apply too close to the eyes and mouth.

Step 4: Wait for at least 15 minutes for the mask to dry, at which point it should lighten in color.

Step 5: Wash off the dry mask, rinse your face once more with warm water, and towel pat your face.

As part of your usual beauty routine, only apply a mud mask every 1-2 weeks, depending on the sensitivity of your skin.
